University of Kansas student tour the city

City Staff along with Planning Commissioner Chair Marcus Hawkes and Mayor Eric Gares toured the city with the students from The University of Kansas on Saturday.

The students will be assisting the City with the new comprehensive plan. There will be several community events over the next three months. We ask you to try to make time to make your voice heard about the future of Herington.

A comprehensive plan, also known as a general plan, master plan, or land-use plan, is a document designed to guide the future actions of a community. It presents a vision for the future, with long-range goals and objectives for all activities that affect the local government.
