Town Outage rescheduled from Thanksgiving week

The City of Herington will be completing some electrical upgrades within the City’s electrical substation. This will require a town outage. The planned outage will start at 8 am Friday, April 23, 2021. This outage may take up to 6 hours to complete. We are sorry for this inconvenience and hope you understand this is necessary to do the work safely. Please make any arrangements for this date if you will need assistance for medical purposes on that date. The hospital does have access to emergency power.
USD487 has postponed school for this date.
In case of extreme weather, the outage will be rescheduled.
