Due to the increase in demand across its service territory, Evergy may have to implement rolling blackouts across the City.

If this were to happen, residents and businesses will be experiencing forced blackouts in time intervals between 30 to 60 minutes.

Please check on your neighbor to make sure they are prepared for this. Have flashlights handy and charge your cell phones.

This is something that is being done by Evergy. The City of Herington is not responsible for these blackouts as Evergy is the provider.
