***ENERGY UPDATE***

The city manager has been in constant contact with Evergy regarding the planned rolling blackouts.

As of 2:30pm, consumption in our town has deceased to levels which would cause demand issues. We have yet to be a part of the rolling blackouts. Reducing consumption in your place of business and residency will continue to decrease the need for rolling blackouts.

Most city buildings have been closed to help reduce consumption. There is city staff onsite to answer phone calls.

The City and USD487 administration have the FEMA shelter ready for any long-term service interruptions.

All fire, police, and city leadership will be ready for an "all hands on deck" approach to communicating any issues.

Rides will be given to any who may need them through our police department.

We are prepared to serve you if the need arises. Please continue to reduce your consumption so the City as a whole can benefit. Keep heat no higher than 68 degrees and unplug any items in the household that aren't being used.

Thank you for your cooperation,

Branden Dross- City Manager
