Comprehensive Plan Updates

On Saturday, city staff along with the city and planning commissions had their comprehensive plan informational session facilitated by Dr. Dulcinea Rakestraw of Wichita State University.

Over the next six months, the City will be working on the next update of the comprehensive plan. The City will have a dedicated intern, Brynn Sullivan, who will mainly be working on the demographical reporting and community engagement.

We also have the benefit to work with Dr. Bonnie Johnson, Program Director and Associate Professor with the University of Kansas

She will be leading a team of students to help with language and technical updates from the previous plan.

The city is very fortunate to be able to use upcoming minds in helping with creating the new comp plan. We would encourage you to please attend all community events and partake in any surveying that will be done.
